When Autumn Collins finds herself accidentally locked in the library for an entire weekend, she doesn’t think things could get any worse. But that’s before she realizes that Dax Miller is locked in with her. Autumn doesn’t know much about Dax except that he’s trouble. Between the rumors about the fight he was in (and that brief stint in juvie that followed it) and his reputation as a loner, he’s not exactly the ideal person to be stuck with. Still, she just keeps reminding herself that it is only a matter of time before Jeff, her almost-boyfriend, realizes he left her in the library and comes to rescue her.
Only he doesn’t come. No one does.
Instead it becomes clear that Autumn is going to have to spend the next couple of days living off vending-machine food and making conversation with a boy who clearly wants nothing to do with her. Except there is more to Dax than meets the eye. As he and Autumn first grudgingly, and then not so grudgingly, open up to each other, Autumn is struck by their surprising connection. But can their feelings for each other survive once the weekend is over and Autumn’s old life, and old love interest, threaten to pull her from Dax’s side?
sorry if it took me so long to post on my bookblog, I’m trying to be active more often here but adulting is hard as climbing the mountain.. anyway, This is the 2nd book I’ve read this year and I’m not happy with the results of my reading goals.. I’ve been following a lot of bookstagrammer on my Instagram and they’ve read 20 books each month, like where did you get all the time to read?? are they experiencing adulting too? hahaha. anyway, this book took me so long finished it and it never happened when I’ve read Kasie West’s other books, something lacking in this book.
1st few chapters got me so bored and that was the library part. I was really sure that time that I was going to give this book a 2 stars. but, when Autumn and Dax got out from the library that was the intense started; like when Autumn learned what happened to jeff, Dallin is mad at her, and so forth..
what I love about this book is the relationship of each character. Autumn’s relationship with Dax, with her friends and specially with her family. I love it when Autumn and Her brother makes fun with each other. it makes me want to have a big brother, her relationship with her parents is a plus point to me. West never fails to amazed me with such a wonderful and mature character. i like the development of the characters, the plot and how they solve the problem. the only thing that I hate about this book is that Library part. anyway, I gave this book a 4/5 stars.not my kasie west fave book, still the distance between us. although Dax is my new fictional boyfriend that doesn’t meant that i can give this book a 5 straight stars. the reason why I gave this book a 3 stars because of the characters relationship with each other and I added another stars its because of Dax 🙂
