Some things are worth waiting for.
Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago–an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe–please God–make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.
Some things are worth experiencing.
Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
Some things should never be kept quiet.
But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?
And some things are worth fighting for.
BOOK REVIEW (Major Spoiler)
First of all, I would like to greet all of you a bountiful and abundant 2017. i hope that you’ll achieve all your dreams this year and have a prosperous one. it’s been a while since I last posted here. I was planning on deleting this one and make another blog at blogspot.com but since Blogspot isn’t friendly, I’m going to stick with this platform. I’m going to make this blog as a life style blog and of course, I’m still going to post my book reviews, book hauls here. I was really inspired by those bloggers who blog about their food hopping and adventures. so to fulfill one of my dreams I’m making this blog a 50% books and 50% of my life. so first, I’m going to vent my feels about this book first. let’s start, shall we?
this is my 5th book by the amazing JLA, I was really hooked the way she writes and she really made this swoon-worthy guys. this book is pure romance and dark past life, running away, yes you name it. I’m a sucker for romance and this is really my kind of book. this book teach is about Avery and Cameron who met at the university. Avery is living her own life, she run away from home because she was a victim of something. I have this feeling that Avery is a victim of rape and I’m guessing it right. then she met Cameron who made her life beautiful. at first, they didn’t get well, but eventually Avery agreed on Cameron to have a date with him. I admired Cameron here, the way he treated Avery, the way he cared for her. it was every girl could ask for a guy. this book is right on time, after all those cocky-ness with Daemon Black, finally Cameron who took my heart away, arrived on time.
this is the kind of story that I want to read during ber months. a cup of coffee, cozy bed, nice weather and a light read in your hand. this book is for all of the bookworms out there. even though Avery went through a dark past, she finally realized her mistake and conquered her fears, and it was all of her friends help and of course Cameron. this book is good and I probably continue the rest of it by February. Valentines though, i need to get in the vibe of Love month. 🙂
I gave this a 4/5 starts on GR
Xo, Abby 🙂
