Synopsis:

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring… until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something… unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don’t kill him first, that is.

BOOK REVIEW

I’ve heard a lot of great things about JLA, how good she is in writing, how good she is on making swoony guys and so on and so forth. I bought Lux series last year and it has been sitting on my shelf for about a months now until I decided to read it. I know I’m late with the hype. I decided to read it last Halloween because this book considered as Paranormal Romance. and I’m happy that I finally started this one.

the story revolves around Katy when she and her mother moved to West Virginia right before her senior year. then she spotted and met the arrogant Daemon black and her sister Dee. Dee and Katy became friends until she learned that they’re not humans, but Aliens!!!

When I was reading this, I actually asked some of my friends why they did love Daemon Black that much? I mean, I find him so arrogant, infuriating and stab-worthy, I’m not really that Impress with him, especially on how he treated Katy it was really disgusting. but when I got to know him little by little I admired his dedication to his family. he just wanted to protect his family and don’t do the same mistake that his brother did. and right after I knew his side, I just fell in love. now I understand why all the girls from bookstagram go gaga over him. I was really amazed by his love and overly protected for his sister. I hope I can find a brother like him, even if it’s not by blood haha.

the battle between the Arum and the Luxen was really bad-ass. their history was not really hard to understand unlike some of the books that have a very complicated back story. Everything in this book is bad-ass and amazing! this book is unputdownable. it makes you crave more and want to finish the rest of the books in this series.

I’m still kinda regretting that I should read this book before so I can still join the bandwagon. but seriously this book is perfect. Badass character? check! Amazing friendship? Check! Dedication for family? Check! Swoony Characters? BIG CHECK!! it really makes sense now that everyone loves JLA. if you haven’t read this book? well, what are you waiting for? drop everything now and go read this! you’ll thank me later.  I’m done rading book 2, I will write a book review soon! 🙂
